Zidane lauds Eden Hazard impact on Real Madrid victory over Eibar

Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane says he’s satisfied and delighted with contributions of winger Eden Hazard in Real Madrid resounding victory over Eibar on Sunday.

Zidane said the Belgian winger suffer injury scare but he’s fine and will be ready for the next league meeting with Valencia at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.

Hazard was initially expected not to return to action this season after the former Chelsea winger went under the knife for his fractured ankle, however, the suspension of the campaign due to coronavirus pandemic allowed him to recover again.

Hazard played for 60 minutes on his return to competitive football and assisted captain Sergio Ramos to make it 2-0 before being replaced with Vinicius Junior.

“We knew Hazard would probably lack a little sharpness if he played the whole game,” Real boss Zidane said. “He played for an hour, and played well, and he took a hit, which will do him good.

“He’s had a knock, a scare, but that’s football. He was fine at half-time, he was happy and he’s not afraid. He is happy with what he’s done and we’re happy with his work and that of the whole team.” Zidane said in post match conference.

The three time UEFA Champions league winning coach also praised the player for his assist to Sergio Ramos.

“We have players up top who can always make the difference. I think when Hazard laid it to Sergio, he could have scored himself too, but he’s altruistic, so he gave it to Sergio. It’s unselfish and I love to see things like that.” He concluded.
