Super Eagles LB, Zaidu Sanusi could be on the move this summer, as uncertainty continues to surround his future at FC Porto.
Despite being contracted to the Portuguese club until 2027, the left back’s position has become increasingly uncertain, following a prolonged injury absence and limited opportunities since his return to fitness.
Sanusi, 27, suffered a serious knee injury in late 2023 that kept him out for over a year. He made his return earlier this year, coming on as a substitute in a Portuguese League Cup quarterfinal match against Sporting Lisbon.
Since then, however, Sanusi has struggled to regain a regular place in the starting lineup.
He has made only a few appearances in the second half of the 2024/25 season, raising concerns about his future at the club.
Porto’s Sporting Director, Diogo Boa Alma, recently revealed that the defender had once drawn strong interest from Premier League sides.
During Sérgio Conceição’s time as manager, Porto reportedly turned down offers of up to €20 million, as the coach saw Sanusi as an important part of his team.
Now, with the summer transfer window approaching and the club possibly looking to make changes, a move away from Porto appears likely.
After five years with the Portuguese giants, Sanusi could be set for a new chapter in his career.
