Team Nigeria’s Gold rush continues as reigning champion, AbdulAzeez Ibrahim wins the 4th Gold Medal for Nigeria in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Ibrahim’s Gold Medal has been added to Paralympic and world champions Paul Kehinde and Roland Ezuruike’s medals, who both won Silver and Gold earlier in the men’s lightweight Category.
Three-time Paralympic gold medallist Lucy Ejike also won Silver earlier in the women’s equivalent. Her strongest opponent and Nigerian teammate Esther Oyema won the Gold Medal.
Nigeria now have a total of Eight Medals in the bag, with Four Gold and Four Silver Medals to complete the Tuesday Medals rush.
