Kenyan marathon runner and current world record holder, Brigid Kosgei who won the 2018 and 2019 Chicago Marathon as well as the 2019 London Marathon who pushed herself to challenge for honours and break the 17-year record longstanding women’s world record of two hours, fifteen minutes and 25 seconds and have big plans to beat her current record.
The current marathon world record holder for women running in a mixed-sex race, with a time of 2:14:04 beating it by an astonishing 81 seconds, a feat that was beyond her imagination said she kept going “I was not expecting this, But I felt my body was moving, moving, moving so I went for it. This is amazing for me.”
The Kenyan, Kosgei believes that she could go on to lop another giant slice off her shiny new record. she said “I think 2:10 is possible for a lady, I am focused on reducing my time again.”
