World cup is a motivation for WAFU cup bound Falcons players – Osas Igbinovia

Super Falcons midfielder Osarenoma Igbinovia has revealed that getting the chance to impress and playing for Nigeria at the fast approaching FIFA women’s world cup in France is the biggest motivation for Nigeria’s women based players ahead of their participation at the WAFU women’s cup of nations.

Igbinovia speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said as much as the team have a group resolve to do well and win the tournament in Ivory Coast, there is obvious competition among players to play themselves into the strong reckoning for possible consideration to coach Thomas Dennerby world cup plan.
“Yes we are ready to do well at the WAFU cup but there is strong competition among players individually to make the team to the world cup and anybody that will get such chance will have to work for it to earn it.
It’s a big challenge and of course, I also want to play at the world cup but firstly is the need to do well at the WAFU before the world cup.”
Nigeria starts her campaign at the WAFU cup this Friday against Burkina Faso.
