With the chances of home-based players making Nigeria’s World Cup roster almost non-existent, vying for spots in other international tournaments will be wise and preparing for them will be wiser.
Speaking on his national team chances this year, Point Guard Dike Azouma has told brila.net that he has his sights set on playing at the African games with the D’Tigers.
The Nigeria Premier Basketball League Star expects the stringent quota system for home-based players as far as the World Cup is concerned.
In 2017 Azouma won silver with D’Tigers at the AfroBasket and he has not ruled out a possible call up for the World Championship in China, but, he maintains if overlooked he’ll accept it in good faith.
