World record holder Tobi Amusan has arrived in Benin city ahead of the national trial for the upcoming World championships in Budapest Hungary.
Amusan on Tuesday touched down in Nigeria after competing in Diamond League meet in Lausanne and Stockholm on Friday and Sunday respectively.
The women’s 100m hurdler world record holder also competed at Ostrava Golden Spike last week.
Amusan will race in Nigeria for the first time since breaking the 100mH World Record in Oregon last season.
The 26-year-old won the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the Stockholm Diamond League, with an impressive time of 12.52s.
The world champion will be aiming to improve her form ahead of this year’s national trials in Benin City to select Nigeria’s representatives to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in August.
