World Athletics Championships: Nigeria’s Ese Brume finishes fourth

Ese Brume missed out on the podium in the Women’s Long jump event at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

Brume finished fourth in the women’s final on Sunday, but the Olympics bronze medalist, recorded a season’s best of 6.84m however it was not enough to get her to the podium.

The Nigerian was pushed out of the top three with a record jump from Rotaru-Kottmann.

Brume’s impressive performance in the past earned her medals at major championships, but this time she narrowly missed out.

Ivana Vuleta from Serbia won with a jump of 7.14m, followed by Tara Davis-Woodhall of the US and Romania’s Alina Rotaru-Kottmann.
