Vincent Enyeama has declined to gloat at the suspension of Lille Manager, Marcelo Bielsa despite the strained relationship between them.
Enyeama and 10 other senior members of the Lille squad were dropped before the commencement of the 2017/18 season.
The three-time French champions have been on a tail spin and are second from bottom in Ligue with just 12 points from 13 Ligue Un matches.
On Wednesday Lille announced the suspension of Bielsa “pending an investigation”, without further details giving for the decision.
But, as per Andrew Richardson [The Sun] the Argentine’s suspension was owing to his unapproved trip to Chile to visit his former assistant Luis Bonini, who is battling stomach cancer.
And according to Brila FM’s Anthony Bekederemo the former Lille goalie, Vincent Enyeama stressed that he won’t rejoice at Bielsa’s misfortunes at the club.
There are speculations Bielsa may not return to his role as Boss and it could pave the way for the return of Enyeama and a few of his former colleagues.
However the 35-year-old said, ‘I won’t celebrate any man’s misfortune and at this point I’m only concerned about my family and keeping them happy.’
