Wolfsburg looks to Divock Origi as Osimhen continues to Struggle

Victor Osimhen might have to start shopping for a new club as Wolfsburg are keen on securing a deal for Liverpool’s Divock Origi.

The 18 year old Victor Osimhen, who recently signed for the Bundesliga club is wanting for game time as his young career is even yet to get off the block.

Victor was highly rated emerging as 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and after suffering a disappointing injury blow, his debut for the club was delayed to the tail end of the season.

Osimhen, who was the top goal-scorer at the U-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015, joined Wolfsburg in a 3.5 million euro move in 2016. He officially joined the team this January but has struggled with an injury.

Osimhen who pulled out of the Super Eagles friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso last month on account of an injury posted a picture of himself running again after successfully undergoing a surgery in February.

However, with two matches into the season the Nigeria youngster is yet to play a minute for Andries Jonker’s team.

On Wednesday, Sky Sports announced a potential bid from Wolfsburg for Origi, 22, who has fallen further down the pecking order at Anfield.

If the Reds allow the Belgian leave, Osimhen could lose his first team place this season.
