D’Tigress star, Ezinne Kalu is relishing her brief stint with WNBA team Atlanta Dream.
Kalu, who plays as a guard for the Nigerian national team, signed a seven-day hardship contract with the Dream on September 17, after helping Nigeria secure a place in the Olympics.
Just two days after signing, the 32 year-old made her WNBA debut against the New York Liberty, where she scored her first basket.
Since then, Kalu has featured in three games for the Dream, describing each moment as a “blessing.”
“Once I got my first WNBA basket, the girls made me feel right at home,” Kalu said.
“They were so hyped, and we had a special moment in the locker room, throwing water on me. That experience was indescribable.”
Kalu was a standout at the Paris Olympics, averaging 18.5 points per game, ranking fourth behind WNBA stars Emma Meesseman, Satou Sabally, and A’ja Wilson.
