Winter Olympics 2018: Simi Adeagbo competes in women’s skeleton heat

Nigeria’s Simidele Adeagbo is the first Nigerian and African to participate in Skeleton, a sliding sport in the Winter Olympics.

Simidele became the first Nigerian athlete to ever compete in the sport after pushing through a qualification process.

Unfortunately, A wobbly effort sees Adeagbo post a time of 54.19secs and that means she is last in the first heat.

But, with three more runs to come, there is plenty more skeleton to come yet. Meanwhile, in the men’s curling, GB lead Sweden 3-1 after captain Edin goes too long, too ambitious in the third end. The women’s aerials finals get underway shortly, too.
