The Management of Nigeria Professional Football League side Heartland Football club of Owerri has handed it’s technical crew and players a three-match ultimatum in which they must secure at least 6 points or face payment of half salaries.
The decision was reached after a critical analysis of the team’s performance so far in the current league season in which they have failed to secure the Maximum points in their last three home games.
The three matches are the team’s Matchday 12 encounter against Akwa United in Uyo, it’s Matchday 13 home game against Kano Pillars and Matchday 14 clash against Plateau United of Jos.
The club’s management, therefore, urges the players and Technical crew to brace up to this challenge as it will not relent to enforce the punishment if no improvement is noticed.
Heartland started the season so well but a dip in form has saw the team dropped from the top of the NPFL Group B log to eight positions.
