Serie A side US Salernitana will be without CB Williams Troost-Ekong, who is due to be out of action for two weeks due to injury.
The Italian Serie A side confirmed the news after carrying out a late test on the January transfer signing.
Ekong sustained the injury during the last league outing, against Hellas Verona, and sat out of training as a result.
A club statement on the Player’s health read:
US Salernitana 1919 announces that William Troost-Ekong underwent MRIs and CT scans at the Centro Polidiagnostico check-Up which showed a tibial plateau fracture from trauma.
The athlete has already started the physiotherapy protocol and will carry out new diagnostic checks in two weeks”, the club confirmed.
Ekong signed for Salernitana from English Championship outfit Watford during winter transfer window.
The former Udinese defender has played three games since his return to the Italian Calcio.
