Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is confident that the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda will see a different character from the team.

Ndidi acknowledged that the team’s recent form has not been up to their standards, and their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying struggle is far from ideal.

Despite these challenges, he remains optimistic that the team will turn the tide when they resume the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Benin Republic – a team they lost to in their last encounter.

“To be honest, it’s not where we wanted to be or the position we wanted to be. They were difficult games. I think we just need to be good and try to correct some mistakes and try to go more in for these games,” Ndidi stated.

He emphasized the team’s determination to secure a victory, starting with the match against Benin Republic.

“We definitely will win. We will definitely try as much as possible to get the win. We’ll see what happens now. We’ll see what happens.”
