Super Eagles midfielder and former Hapoel Be’er-Sheva of Israel player, John Ogu has revealed the reason why he decided not to continue his spell with the Israeli club side while hoping to make a move to one of the top clubs in Europe, as he believes he is ready for the challenge.
The former Academica De Coimbra man only played once for the Super Eagles at the just concluded AFCON against Madagascar, but is optimistic about his future, ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking with www.brila.net, Ogu revealed that his agent is currently seeing to it that he gets a new club before the start of the season while hoping to get a club in Spain or Germany, as he will grab the opportunity with both hands.
“They offered a contract (Be’er Sheva), but I feel like what they were offering was kind of not enough for me. Again, I need a different challenge”.
“I still believe that I can offer a whole lot at the top”.
“Looking for bigger challenge and I feel my body is ready for this challenge so am looking forward to it”.
“Am just waiting and I hope something good comes out. My agent is working and I hope something comes out from any top nation…..Germany or Spain, and I will grab the chance with both hands”.
