Katsina United winger Samuel Kalu has explained why he refused to celebrate his brace against FC Ifeanyi Uba last weekend.
Recalled Kalu scored twice to usher the Changi Boys to 3-1 victory against the struggling Anambra Warriors at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Kalu said he decided not to celebrate the goals out of respect for FC Ifeanyi Uba, but the team he played for in 2018-2019 campaign.
“I’m happy with the brace, but it wasn’t easy for me playing against my former club and teammates and that why I didn’t celebrate the goals ” he explained to www.brila.net.
The former Wikki Tourists midfielder has been in scintillating form for Katsina United this season. He has scored nine goals and recorded two assists so far.
