Why Fatai Osho Accepted Akwa United Offer

New Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho has maintained that he is well-equipped to start his new job at the club, following his exit from Rivers United at the end of the just-concluded season.

Osho left his role as assistant coach at Rivers United and signed a one-year contract with Akwa United.

The former Enyimba Coach is confident that his experience will benefit the club and their objective of returning to the Continent.

“It’s a big challenge, I think I’m well equipped to face it, in terms of experience, I’ve worked in the best of it all in this country, and I’ve seen it all at the level of the continent. I think all those valuables experience will come to bear in preparing this team.

“It is a very good team, a big team at that and it’s a team that belongs to the very top and that’s where we are looking at it for now, we have to ensure we take the team back to the continent.

“It’s not going to be an easy task actually, but then, all hands will be on deck to ensure that we present a team that will actually compete and not just a team that will be a pretender again.”
