Former Netherlands and Feyenoord forward, Pierre Van Hooijdonk has praised Cyriel Dessers for his tremendous contribution to the Club.
Dessers scored twice in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League 3-1 win over Slavia Prague to send Feyenoord into the last four.
It was his 15th league goal in 32 games across all competitions this season since his loan move from Genk.
Speaking on the impact of the striker, Hooijdonk described Dessers as a Player who gets the job done despite his obvious shortcomings.
“He’s a really good striker,” Hooijdonk told Voetbal Primeur.
“There are better strikers, that’s true, but there are also decent strikers. You can’t deny him.
” He’s is relatively fast and very physical. He is indeed not a starting player, but his contribution is enormous,” the former Dutch international concluded.
