Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has joined Dutch Eredivisie Side Feyenoord on a season-long loan from Genk.
Dessers completed the transfer back to the Netherlands on the transfer deadline day, after passing his medical.
Genk in a statement released on their official website confirmed that the Belgian-born striker has departed the Liminus Arena and Feyenoord has an option to make the deal permanent.
“Cyriel Dessers is going to play football again in the Netherlands. KRC Genk let him leave for Feyenoord. The Rotterdammers rent him for a season and also have a purchase option.” The Club reveals.
Cyriel joined his boyhood Club Genk in the summer of 2020, after scoring 15 goals for Heracle Almelo in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Due to Paul Onuachu’s fantastic season, Cyriel was mostly a substitute and managed to score eight in forty appearances for the Club.
Genk has already secured the signing of Iké Ugbo from Chelsea and he’s likely to partner with Paul Onuachu in the attack.
