What do You make of Brown Ideye’s Tweet?

Nigeria International, Brown Ideye might have just escaped a social media backlash after tweeting images that suggests belting a stubborn child is the way to set them right.

The 28-year-old tweeted a picture earlier this month, of a hand holding a folded belt in front of a TV.

His tweeted: “That’s what this boy deserves 😂😂 #Power”

On the screen was Young actor, Michael Rainey Jr. who played Tariq St. Patrick in the TV Series, Power.

Rainey’s character in the latest installment of the series depicts a trouble child, who has also grown rebellious at home after his father’s extra marital affair nearly splits the family.

Although his tweet was intended to be a light joke, the image it depicted would also suggest an abusive parent or guardian.

Ideye, who may have quit his Chinese Club, Tianjin Teda FC following a substitution row with the Manager, spent a difficult season in England with West Bromwich Albion in 2014.

He resuscitated his career again after he joined Greek giants, Olympiacos the following season.
