Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was named the Best Goalkeeper at the 2024 CAF Awards on Monday night.

The Paris FC shot-stopper was recognized for her stellar performances both at the club and international level over the past year.

The award was presented to Nnadozie during the continental ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco.

The 2024 honor adds to her growing list of accolades, highlighting her as one of the top female goalkeepers in Africa after collecting the award back to back (2023 & 2024).

In her emotional acceptance speech, Nnadozie expressed gratitude to those who supported her throughout her journey.

“I want to thank the Lord Almighty for his grace and mercy over my life, and also the privilege to be here again. Last year I was here, and I’m also here today, I’m very grateful to God,” she said.

“And I want to say a very big thank you to the CAF President, and also a very big thank you to the Nigerian Football Federation President and all the good jobs they’ve been doing in the Nigerian female football.”

She continued with thanks to her club, Paris FC, for their trust and support: “I want to say a very big thank you to my club, Paris FC. They’ve invested a lot in me.”

Chiamaka Nnadozie also praised her coaches and teammates, both at the club and national level. “This award wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. You all made this happen, and I’m really grateful for you all.”

The goalkeeper didn’t forget to thank her family and friends who have been with her from the start. “And of course to my family, to my friends who have been supporting me from day one, I really want to say a very big thank you.”

She also took a moment to honor someone who has been like family to her, saying, “And lastly to my adopted dad, Prince Kazim Eletu, I really want to say a very big thank you for everything you’ve been doing for me.”

Nnadozie concluded her heartfelt speech, saying: “And thanks a lot to the organizers of this award. Thank you so much.”
