Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum remains confident of the team’s chances as they head to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Despite a 1-0 loss to Canada – and subsequent 5-4 penalty win – in an international friendly on Wednesday, Waldrum is positive about the team’s progress.
“Obviously, you would like to win with results at the end of the day but I think our performance was a very positive performance.
“We were very good in the attacking phase, our possession was good.
“I thought it was a much better performance than we had in the World Cup against them (Canada).
“We created more chances against them than we did at the World Cup. I have seen a lot of improvement since the World Cup until now,” he stated.
Nigeria is making a return to the Olympics after a 16-year absence and will face Brazil in the opening group game next week.
