West Ham United has entered the competition to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, who has garnered interest from top clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), over the past four months.
According to GIVEMESPORT, the Hammers have formally expressed their interest in the 27-year-old, with hopes of bringing him back to London.
Lookman previously enjoyed a strong 2023/24 season with Atalanta, where he scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions.
So far this season, Lookman has continued to impress with five goals and five assists in just 10 appearances across all competitions.
The talented forward recently secured the 14th position in the 2023 Ballon d’Or rankings, finishing ahead of notable Premier League stars like Emiliano Martinez, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Cole Palmer.
Despite the growing interest, Lookman remains under contract with Atalanta until 2026, and the Italian club is reportedly seeking a transfer fee of around €35 million.
While Lookman is no stranger to the Premier League, having previously played for Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City, any club hoping to sign him will need to persuade Atalanta to part with one of their standout players.
