Slaven Bilic will rather put his arm around the shoulders of his players after a 1-1 home result against Millwall in the league on Saturday.
An owngoal by Millwall’s Alex Pearce gave the Baggies the lead in the 57th minute. Eighteen minutes later the visitors scored to bring the game level and see out a hard fought draw at the Hawthorns.
It was a fairly decent game for Nigeria international Semi Ajayi, who played the duration of the game – for a second consecutive game.
He enjoyed a lot of possession in the right side of the Baggies’ defence, was solid in the air but also found his way into the Referee’s books for the wrong reason.
Ajayi was booked in the 67th minute, but West Brom Manager, Bilic ‘likes’ the fact his players felt remorseful having allowed the maximum three points slip.
“I like that the atmosphere is like we lost a game in the dressing room. I like that because we want to win our home games, we want to win every game that we can,” Bilic said.
“But there were lots of positive things and I told them to learn from these mistakes. More than that we want to build on the good things that we are doing.
“This is a marathon. We’re not at a stage in the season where we look too much at other results but the other results have shown what kind of league this is.”
