Bendel Insurance gaffer, Baldwin Bazuaye has blamed his sides inability to score goals freely on ill-luck.
Speaking with brila.net, Bazuaye stated that the goalless draw played against Kwara United in a matchday 16 tie was a typical example of how unlucky his side could be as they were the highest scoring side in the second division.
“It’s absurd these same boys are the ones who were the highest goal scoring team in the NNL and now we are back in the elite level. I disagree with this view or notion.
The boys are doing their best but I believe it’s ill-luck because they have had wonderful chances I even recollect that we scored very well at the super 8. I can only hope we get over this ill luck.”
Bendel Insurance are swimming dangerously in the relegation zone of Group A of the NPFL and would be hoping to secure a win on Wednesday against high flying Enugu Rangers.
