We’ll shock Wydad Casablanca and their fans — Festus Austin

Rivers United captain Festus Austin is confident his side will survive the onslaught in Morocco and advance to the Group phase of the CAF Champions League.

Wydad Casablanca hosts the return leg of their Champions League fixture against Rivers United on Sunday.

The Nigerian champions hold a 2-1 lead from the first-leg played at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt last week and should the Nigerian side avoid defeat in Morocco, they’ll secure a group stage ticket.

Speaking ahead of the game, Festus Austin stated that, the team is determined to see the game through.

“The motivation is high, we are focused cos we know how important the game.

“All we have to do is to give our best and remain focused and at the end, I’m sure Rivers United will scale through,” He said.

This Sunday’s encounter against the defending Champions will hold at the 67,000 capacity Mohammed V Stadium, Casablanca.
