Following Ademola Lookman’s triumph as the 2024 CAF African Player of the Year on Monday night in Marrakech, Morocco, congratulatory messages have poured in for the Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, celebrating his historic achievement.

The Super Eagles squad, led by captain William Troost-Ekong, quickly took to social media to celebrate their teammate’s well-deserved recognition.
Team captain William Troost-Ekong was among the first to react, writing: “Deserved brother, we are proud of you!”
Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface kept his message simple but heartfelt on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Congrats broksi ❤️.”
Defender Ola Aina shared his excitement on Instagram, posting: “This means everything! Proud of you @molalookman.”
Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi also extended his congratulations, referring to Lookman fondly: “@molalookman Adebobo, well deserved.”
Super Eagles prospect Tosin Adarabioyo joined the celebrations on Instagram, writing:

Meanwhile President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also extended his congratulations, highlighting the significance of Lookman’s success for Nigerian sports
