Super Eagles vice-captain and winger, Ahmed Musa has submitted ahead of tomorrow’s AFCON 2019 quarterfinal against the Banana Bafana of South Africa that the players of the Eagles won’t disrespect their opponents, even as every player in camp is ready to play if called upon by coach Gernot Rohr.
Coach Gernot Rohr has said his charges are very much looking forward to Wednesday night’s clash, which brings together once more two teams who were involved in the same group in the qualifying campaign.
Speaking with brila.net, Musa, however, echoed the same sentiments of the manager, while also stating that the players of the Eagles are approaching the match with the sole aim of winning the encounter and getting a semi-final ticket.
“Everyone wants to have the opportunity to play for Nigeria so whoever is given the chance is ready to play the game, he is going to show his talent”.
“We are not going to disrespect South Africa because they talk a lot, but everyone is ready and the outcome of the match is determined after 90mins and I can assure Nigerians that we are going there to win, not to lose”.
