Guinea Bissau head coach, Baciro Cande expects his team to perform better when they face Nigeria in their final group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, later today.
Despite facing slim odds for progression after two initial losses, Cande says the Djurtus are determined to make a mark.
Currently holding the bottom spot with zero points and no previous AFCON victories, the Djurtus coach added that his players are motivated and committed to secure their first win.
“We are excited to play a good match,” he told reporters in Abidjan. “We have one match to close the first phase of the competition and we will do everything to have a good game tomorrow (Monday).
“It will be difficult but we will do everything possible tomorrow. We want to have our first AFCON win.”
The anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 pm Nigerian time at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
