Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro, revealed his goal is to avoid heavy defeat against Portugal on Thursday.
Peseiro will lead the Super Eagles out against his home nation on Thursday, and the 62 year-old manager is optimistic about the chances of his team leaving with a good result.
The game is the first meeting between both Nations at senior level, and the Eagles will be aiming to end their bad run of results in friendly matches.
In an interview with a Lisbon-based radio station Peseiro said, “If we can’t win, let’s draw. If we can’t draw, let’s not lose by too many. That’s the goal,” the Portuguese was quoted as saying by tsf.
The game will hold at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon on Thursday.
