Cameroon head coach, Rigobert Song has charged his team ahead of their fixture against Nigeria in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Indomitable Lions have faced challenges in this AFCON, securing just one victory out of the three games played so far.

Despite a slow start, they managed to clinch a dramatic 3-2 win against The Gambia, securing their spot in the round of 16.

The upcoming match against the Super Eagles promises to be intense, given the history and rivalry between the teams.

Song emphasized that his team is prepared for the challenge and is fully focused on the task at hand.

“We are no longer in danger. We are well prepared. The match against Nigeria is a risky one. I have reached a point where I no longer calculate anything. We must correct what needs to be corrected. We must do everything possible to win the match against Nigeria,” Song addressed reporters.

Acknowledging the seriousness of Saturday’s Opponent, Song stressed the importance of approaching the match with a determined mindset.

He emphasized the need for his team to perform at their best to secure victory and progress further in the competition.

“We have to take the Nigeria team seriously. And when we meet a serious team, we are serious too. You have to win to continue the competition.”
