Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr sais his current sqaud are exciting and have great future, but lack star players unlike in the past.

Rohr who is into the final phase of his contract with the Nigerian football Federation made this known in a exclusive interview with Brila FM.

The Franco-German manager made reference to the previous Super Eagles teams where the likes of Nwankwo Kanu, Austin Okocha are big stars and send warning signals into the camp of the opponents.

However he insisted the his current squad has team spirit and are ready to fight for results.

“When you see our players, which one of them is playing in a big team?” Rohr said on Brila FM. “We don’t have anymore compared to the big players we had before.

“Where are the Okochas, Kanus and the (Vincent) Enyeamas? we don’t have.

“We have young players, have a good team with good spirit but we don’t have the stars which we had before.

“I hope we can go back to that time because now we have young players with future. But our strength is the team and I hope with our strength we can go far.” He said.
