“We did it again” – Uchenna Kanu celebrates her winning goal for Linkopings

Super Falcons striker Uchenna Kanu was on the score sheet for Linkopings in their Swedish Damallsvenskan game against Djurgardens on Saturday.

The Super Falcons striker scored the only goal of the game to give the Olof Unogard’s tutored side all-important victory as they maintain their 100 percent record into the new season.

 

Kanu who recently joined the team from Spanish Iberdrola side Sevilla scored was impressive in the game and her efforts didn’t go unnoticed as she handed her team all maximum points at Linköping Arena.

 

Meanwhile, Kanu’s compatriot Ebere Orji also featured in the game and was unlucky not to increase her tally when she missed a glorious chance to break the deadlock after just 11 minutes.

 

While Kanu who finally break her duck after three games played the entire duration of the game, Orji lasted for 76 minutes, and the third Nigerian in the team Chinaza Uchendu watched from the stands due to injury.

 

Linkopings has now won all their three-game so far this season and they also opened a two-point gap at the top of the table ahead of second-placed Pitea.
