We can improve our performance for the second game — Waldrum

Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum says he learnt so much from the defeat to United States on Saturday.

The eight time African Champions were beaten 4-0 by the Americans at Kansas City in the first of the meeting of the two legs friendlies.

While reflecting on the outcome of the game, Waldrum stated that Americans created numerous problems for his team, which they struggled to provide answers.

“Anytime you play the best in the World, you know there will be challenges, so they create a lot of challenges for us and for our plans moving forward.”

“Everything we do is preparations for the World Cup, I think the results and performance wasn’t there.”

“But we are hopeful, we can improve on the performance on Tuesday, “, He said.

The American tactician however said he’s happy for the opportunity to see some young players in a action.

“But one of the things I’m pleased with is the performance of the young players. We brought some of the players from the youth team in and they got their first cap and I thought they did extremely well us, considering it was their first senior call up and playing the best in the World.” He concluded.

The Falcons had their recovery session at Kansas City this morning, before leaving for Washington DC for the second game on Tuesday.
