Galatasaray forward, Victor Osimhen has finally broken his goal drought and sent a message to the fans, expressing his gratitude for their support and promising more to come.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, has been in impressive form since his arrival, providing assists in every game he’s featured in. However, despite his contributions, the goals weren’t coming—until now.
In Galatasaray’s home draw against Kasimpasa, Osimhen scored his first goal for the club, giving them the lead.
Just eight minutes later, he found the back of the net again, securing a brace. Mario Icardi added a third, putting Galatasaray 3-0 up.
But in a dramatic turn of events, the team surrendered the lead, and the match ended in a 3-3 draw.
Osimhen was substituted at halftime due to what appeared to be a minor injury, though he assured fans afterwards that it was nothing serious.
Taking to Instagram, Osimhen shared his thoughts on the match, expressing his excitement at scoring a brace but disappointment over the result.
“It’s a great honour to have scored a brace in today’s game, but l’m disappointed that we couldn’t secure the win. We gave everything, and I’m sure we will come back stronger as a team!
Dear Galatasaray fans, your support means the world to us, and we won’t stop fighting to make you all proud.
Thank you for the cheers and the incredible love. We are just starting!”
Despite the setback, this is just the beginning for Osimhen, who has now opened his scoring account with the club.
He is set to remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season, with the club’s vice president clearing up rumors that the forward might leave in January.
