We are better than Cameroon, says Ighalo

Super Eagles striker and Shanghai Shenhua of China hitman, Jude Odion Ighalo has revealed plans to ensure Nigeria beat them in both countries round of 16 clash tomorrow at the ongoing 32nd Egypt 2019 AFCON tournament.

Nigeria, winners in 2013 and having reached the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the current AFCON campaign respectively with a match to spare, suffered a nightmarish 0-2 defeat to lowly Madagascar in their final Group B game they were expected to win well without sweat.

But Cup holders Cameroon also bombed on bookmakers by drawing blank in their final Group F encounter with the Squirrels of Benin Republic.

Speaking with www.brila.net, Ighalo also added that if the Eagles can keep the ball and make good runs, they would surely hurt their west African rivals tomorrow.

“They are very physical but are not fast. We have fast players from the wings, if we can keep the ball, we are technically good and so we have confidence”.

“If we can keep the ball, we are technically good. If we can keep the ball and make good runs behind, I think we will have chances to hurt them”.
