Isaac Success and his Watford Teammates will hope the sack of Marco Silva brings back good fortunes to the club that once hovered in the top 6 earlier this season in the Premier League.
Silva was given the boot after a string of poor results which the club claims was prompted by “the unwarranted approach by a Premier League rival for his services.”
A statement on the club website reads in part, “The catalyst for this decision is that unwarranted approach, something which the Board believes has seen a significant deterioration in both focus and results to the point where the long-term future of Watford FC has been jeopardised.
“For the security and success of the football club, the Board believes it has to make a change.
“The Club will seek to make a swift appointment and there will be no further comment until that appointment has been made.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian forward Isaac Success has not kicked a ball for the Hornets this season in the League, his drama with three escorts in 2017 compounding his problems.
Watford lost 2-0 in Saturday’s PL game to Leicester, but Success is currently ruled out injured with a knee problem.
