The relationship between Victor Osimhen and Napoli has deteriorated following a failed transfer during the recent window.

The striker’s desired move did not materialize due to Napoli’s reportedly excessive demands.

Sources report that Osimhen is particularly upset with Napoli over a collapsed deal with Al Ahli, rather than negotiations with Chelsea.

The Nigerian forward was set to sign a substantial €160 million contract with Al Ahli, which would have seen him earn €40 million per season.

However, a final agreement required Napoli and Al Ahli to negotiate a transfer fee.

Discussions between Napoli and Al Ahli were underway, but the deal fell through after the Serie A side reportedly demanded an additional €5 million.

This demand caused Victor Osimhen and his agent, Roberto Calenda, to react angrily, according to reports.

Napoli had reportedly been keen for Osimhen to transfer to Chelsea and took steps that frustrated potential discussions with Liverpool and PSG.

However, Chelsea was unable to meet Osimhen’s salary expectations, offering around €8 million per season—less than his current €10 million annual wage at Napoli.

With the transfer window now closed, Osimhen remains at Napoli.

However, it remains uncertain if he will be reintegrated into the squad, especially as Coach Antonio Conte has already secured Romelu Lukaku as a replacement.
