Head Coach Randy Waldrum won’t be at the helm of the Super Falcons when they take on Ethiopia in first leg of Olympics Women’s football qualifiers this Wednesday.
According to reports, Waldrum who doubles as head coach of the University of Pittsburgh Panthers women’s team, had informed the NFF that he could only be present for the second leg fixture in Nigeria.
It is understood that Waldrum decided to skip the game due to personal obligations in the United States.
In his absence, his Nigerian assistants – Justin Madugu, Ann Chiejine, and Auwal Makwalla, will be in charge of the team.
The trio have been closely working with him for the past two years.
Waldrum’s current contract ends October 31st, but he is negotiating an extension with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The record African Champions will face Ethiopia in 2024 Women’s Football Olympics doubleheader qualifiers.
