Napoli and Victor Osimhen are not reaching agreement on new contract soon, according to latest development.
According to Sky Sports Italia reporter, Luca Marchetti, both parties are miles apart on the release clause and the player’s wages, despite holding meeting eleven times.
Speaking on Napoli based Radio Marte, Sky journalist, Luca Marchetti said both parties aren’t finding agreement soon.
“The problem blocking the renewal of Osimhen’s contract is precisely the clause, which the player would like to be no higher than 120 million while the club would like to insert it in the renewal at a higher value of 120 million.” He said on Napoli based Radio Marte.
“Evidently there is not the agreement that there seemed to be after the 11 meetings that took place between the club and the player.
“His evaluation must emerge from a combination of the salary that Osimhen must earn and the clause to be inserted. According to the player, the higher the clause, the higher the salary must be.”
Osimhen has less than 18 months left on his contract and Napoli rejected lucrative offers from abroad last summer.
Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia are the clubs linked with the player.
