Following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Burkina Faso on Thursday, the Eaglets held a recovery session on Friday morning.

The team is set to face Niger Republic in their second Group B match on Sunday.

Coach Manu Garba is optimistic that his players will improve their finishing and capitalize on their opportunities in the upcoming game.

In their opening match, Nigeria squandered several scoring chances, particularly in the second half.

Despite the draw, midfielder Simon Cletus was a standout performer, creating several key moments for the team.

In the 24th minute, he delivered a precise pass to Abdulmuiz Oladimeji, who unfortunately missed the target.

Moments later Cletus himself had a prime chance to score but failed to convert.

Coach Manu Garba will be looking to refine his team’s attack and secure a vital victory against Niger Republic as they aim to advance in the tournament.
