President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation Engr. Musa Nimrod has stated that the camping exercise will be on during the festive period for junior and cadet players ahead of next year’s Africa Junior and cadet championship in Nigeria and Tunisia.
Nimrod speaking in a chat with brila.net said the Federation hopes to see the Nigerian team defend her title next year and to also improve the finishing of the female team that finished fourth at the last cadet championship earlier this year where the team finished fourth.
He added that the goal is to win on home soil for the girls U18 as host and defend the title for the U19 in Tunisia 2021.
“No holiday for them, this is not the first time. Last year the same thing happens when they went for Olympics qualification in Cameroon. So it’s not news to us they did their Christmas in the camp last year. We are in a tight situation and so what can we do?”
