Real Madrid broke their winless run with a 4-0 victory over Osasuna, but suffer major injury setbacks with Éder Militão, Rodrygo, and Lucas Vázquez sidelined.
Real Madrid’s 4-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday, highlighted by Vinicius Junior’s hat-trick and Jude Bellingham’s first goal of the season, came at a huge cost as the club faces a mounting injury crisis.
The Brazilian winger, Vinicius opened Madrid’s scoring in the 34th minute and added two more in the second half, following his Ballon d’Or loss.
Bellingham’s superb lob in the 42nd minute further sealed Madrid’s lead, lifting them to 27 points, just behind leaders Barcelona.
However, the joy was short-lived as injuries struck hard.
Rodrygo, recently back from a hamstring injury, was replaced after 20 minutes. Shortly after, Militão was stretchered off, and Vázquez was substituted at halftime.
The club’s defense is further depleted with Dani Carvajal out for the season and David Alaba still recovering from an ACL injury.
Éder Militão, who suffered a torn ACL, is expected to miss nine months, while Rodrygo and Lucas Vázquez are anticipated to be out for three to four weeks, according to sources.
Madrid’s squad now braces for two crucial fixtures post-break: a LaLiga clash against Leganés on Nov. 24 and a Champions League encounter at Anfield on Nov. 27.
