Villarreal will demand for €80 million from interested clubs for Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze, according to reports.

Chukwueze is said to be on the radar of Real Madrid, while Aston Villa, a club managed by his former manager, Unai Emery, are also keeping close tabs on the player.

The 23 year-old has turned heads this season with impressive performances for the Yellow Submarines.

The attacker produced one of his best performances in La Liga this season against the Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this month, scoring twice on the occasion.

According to Spanish transfer market website, Fichajes, Villarreal has now slammed €80m prize tag on the player.

“Villarreal, wanted to be blunt with the starting price of Chukwueze, clinging to the player’s termination clause, which amounts to no more and no less than €80m, which means that any team interested in signing him will have to pay that amount to secure his services, including a Real Madrid that has not yet made a formal offer,” the website wrote.

Chukwueze has scored 13 goals and assisted 11 across across all competitions this season.

He has less than two years on his contract with Villareal.
