Victor Osimhen’s position at Napoli has grown increasingly uncertain as the Nigerian striker finds himself excluded from the squad for the upcoming season.

The 25 year-old, who was expected to secure a high-profile transfer this summer, has been left out of Napoli’s first match of the new campaign after no deal materialized.

Osimhen has been relegated to individual training sessions and did not participate in any of Napoli’s four pre-season matches.

His absence extends to the team’s Coppa Italia first-round clash against Modena, set for Saturday evening.

The striker’s future has been in limbo, with a €130 million release clause included in the new contract he signed last December.

However, no club has been willing to meet that figure. Paris Saint-Germain, the most serious contender, reportedly offered less than €100 million, while a potential deal involving Chelsea and Romelu Lukaku fell through after Lukaku declined a loan move.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen continues to train alone at Napoli’s sports center as he waits for a potential move.

With limited options on the table, he is now hoping for renewed interest from PSG or a significant offer from Saudi Arabia.

As his isolation within the team grows, so too does the uncertainty surrounding his future in the Campania capital.
