Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen scored a goal for Napoli in their 2-2 draw against AS Roma in a Serie A fixture.

Osimhen proved his mettle on the field as Napoli clashed with Roma in a highly anticipated Derby del Sole fixture.

He forced the Roma goalkeeper into action, with a series of close attempts before finally finding the back of the net from the penalty spot.

The Nigerian has now scored 14 goals and registered three assists in 22 matches this season.

Matias Olivera (64′) cancelled out Paolo Dybala’s penalty (59′) and opening goal before Osimhen fired the hosts ahead from the spot in the 84th minute.

With two minutes left on the clock, Tammy Abraham capitalized on a defensive error to earn a point for AS Roma.

The result leaves Napoli in 8th place on the league table, with 52 points, while Roma maintains their position in 5th place with 58 points.

However, the draw dealt a blow to Napoli’s aspirations for European qualification.
