Victor Osimhen has rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia’s Professional League, as the Nigerian striker is determined to continue his career in Europe.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Al-Ahli made a substantial €70 million bid for Osimhen, a figure that, while only half of his release clause, might still tempt Napoli to negotiate.
However, Osimhen remains uninterested in a move to the Middle East, as he is holding out for potential offers from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Arsenal, or Chelsea.
Reports from Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia indicate that Al-Ahli’s proposal is the first concrete offer for Osimhen this transfer window.
Despite this, the forward is not keen on leaving Europe or moving to any club on a temporary basis.
His top priority is to secure a transfer to a team competing in the UEFA Champions League, which places PSG and Arsenal higher on his list of preferred destinations compared to Chelsea, especially given the Blues’ current absence from the competition.
Chelsea have re-entered discussions after an initial loan offer for Osimhen was turned down.
Meanwhile, Napoli is hoping to secure a deal worth €100 million plus bonuses for the former Serie A top scorer, but the ongoing negotiations have created a tense atmosphere around the club’s transfer dealings.
