Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, which included wages of £740,000 per week.

Instead, the Napoli striker has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea, paving the way for a potential move to the Premier League before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea is reportedly moving closer to securing a deal for Osimhen before the end of the summer transfer window, according to reports from Italy.

According to reports from sources, the Premier League club is preparing to make its first official bid to Napoli.

Chelsea’s offer is expected to be comparable to, if not higher than, the €70 million bid recently made by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

In addition to negotiating the transfer fee with Napoli, Chelsea will need to reach an agreement on personal terms with Victor Osimhen and his representatives.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Chelsea is willing to match the striker’s current annual wage of around €10 million, which he earns after renegotiating his contract with Napoli last season.

This comes despite Al-Ahli’s offer, which included significantly higher wages reportedly amounting to £740,000 per week.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has also been linked to Brentford’s England international Ivan Toney who has also been linked with a move to the middle East.
