There have been several standout players for Nigeria at the African Nations Championship who deserve invitation to the first team for the World Cup according to former NPFL star, Victor Ezeji.
Speaking after Nigeria’s 2-1 quarter-final win against Angola on Sunday, Ezeji identified Osas Okoro, Stephen Eze, Dayo Ojo and Emeka Atuloma as standout players in the course of the team’s progress in Morocco.
‘I could pick every player on that pitch at any time because they complemented and worked well as a unit.
‘Osas was driving play from defence, Atuloma show class with his long range passes. Eze organized his defence well and Ojo settle rright in since he was introduced.
‘It’s hard to not make a case for these players now that they are playing so well,’ Ezeji said.
